A record-breaking 2,800 entries for the 5th Jalón Ángel International Photography Award

 

The Jalón Ángel Archive deadline for entries has come to an end for its 5th Jalón Ángel International Photography Award, beating records again. The online platform, where participants submit their entries, closed last Sunday, 24 March at 23.59 (GMT+1) with more than 2,800 entries. In the Portrait category, there were 1,584 entries submitted, in the Travel 1,191 and in the special category Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park 90. These figures exceed those of last year, in which there were 2,200 entries in total.

 

This year, images from 105 countries have been received. The largest number of entries has been from Spain, Russia, Colombia, India, Brazil and Argentina. This year, there are entries for the first time from Madagascar, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, Palestine, Libya, Macedonia, Kenya, Ghana, Singapore, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica and the island of St. Kitts- Nevis, among many others. From Spain, photographs have been received from Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Malaga, Valencia, Asturias, Gipuzkoa, Jaén, Seville, Alicante, Cádiz among others.

 

The outcome of the award will be announced on 10 April publically via the social networks of the Archive, the website and through a press note that will be sent to the media.
